Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Stanley Starr

Dr. Stanley Starr founded Starr & Glick Orthodontics in 1971 and has been in private practice ever since. He was born and grew up in Atlantic City, New Jersey and graduated from Atlantic City High School. He then attended Bloomfield College in Bloomfield, New Jersey where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology. After graduation from college, Dr. Starr attended Temple University Dental School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Upon graduation, he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.

He continued his dental education, specializing in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Pennsylvania. He is continually updating his knowledge of the field with continuing education courses. Dr. Starr is also a certified Invisalign Provider and has treated hundreds of patients with this process.

For six years, he was on the faculty at Boston Universitys Goldman School of Dental Medicine as a clinical Professor with their Applied Experience Program. Dr. Starr has given a table clinic at the national meeting of the American Association of Orthodontics concerning "The Classification and Diagnosis of Orthodontic Problems."

Dr. Starr has received a Federal Grant for a research project he conducted on "The Impact of Orthodontic Treatment on the Development of Self Image."

Dr. Starr is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Massachusetts Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, The Massachusetts Dental Society, The West Metropolitan District Dental Society, the James Cameron Society of Oral Surgery, the John Kolmer Honorary Medical Society, the American Society of Dentistry for Children and the Greater Boston Orthodontic Study Group.

Dr. Starr and his wife, Susan, a dental hygienist, have two children, Jason and Julie. He is active in the community, is a sports fan and enjoys playing golf and power walking.

Dr. Geoffrey M. Glick

Dr. Geoffrey M. Glick joined the practice in 2004 and became Dr. Starr's partner in 2009. Dr. Glick grew up in Brookline and attended The Park School and Belmont Hill School before receiving a B.A. in clinical psychology from Tufts University in 1994. From there, Dr. Glick earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the University of Pennsylvania in 1998. While at Penn, Dr. Glick distinguished himself as a leader by providing complimentary dental care to underprivileged inner city children and needy senior citizens. At graduation, Dr. Glick was presented with the prestigious Pennsylvania State Dental Society Award, which is awarded annually to one senior student for outstanding work during his 4 years of dental school.

In 1999, Dr. Glick completed a General Practice Residency at MCP-Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. Dr. Glick then returned home to Boston for his orthodontic specialty training at Boston University's Goldman School of Dental Medicine. In 2002, Dr. Glick completed a three-year joint masters and certificate program in orthodontics that incorporated basic scientific research with clinical orthodontic training. His masters thesis, which was entitled Shear Bond Strength of Orthodontic Bracket and Adhesive Materials to Porcelain Restorative Materials, was well received by the B.U. faculty and he was awarded highest honors for this piece of work. Dr. Glick was awarded his Masters of Science in Dentistry (M.S.D.) and his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (C.A.G.S.) in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics for his work.

In addition to practicing in Medfield, Dr. Glick maintains private practices in Boston, Waltham and Pepperell. Dr. Glick treats patients of all ages and has become one of the world's leading practitioners of Invisalign® orthodontics. Invisalign has recognized Dr. Glick as an "Elite Premier Provider," placing him in the top 1% of all Invisalign® doctors worldwide. He is only one of only a handful of doctors to have achieved this status in New England. He has treated close to 1,000 patients with Invisalign and his Invisalign® patients have included members of the World Champion Boston Celtics, players and cheerleaders for the New England Patriots, and the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageant winners from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Maine, and New York. As a partner of ClinReview Consulting Services, Dr. Glick mentors and educates less experienced Invisalign® doctors by assisting them with their own cases. This experience has allowed Dr. Glick to treat even the most complex cases with Invisalign®.

Dr. Glick and his wife Nicole live nearby with their children Jason and Alexa, and their cats Princess and Nemo.

Dr. Elizabeth C. Blake

Dr. Elizabeth C. Blake joined the practice as an associate orthodontist in 2010. Originally from Tampa, Florida, Dr. Blake graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Cell Science. Early on in her college education, she elected to pursue a career in dentistry. She was honorably accepted to the University of Floridas Early Dental Acceptance Program and completed both undergraduate and dental degrees in the 7-year accelerated program. During her training, she received several academic awards, a full academic scholarship and held various leadership roles. While attaining her dental degree at the University of Florida, she won the Dental Research Honors Award for publishing a paper in the journal, Cancer Letters, and was named to the Deans List for academic excellence.

After graduating from dental school, Dr. Blake continued her studies for an additional 3 years in the dental specialty of orthodontics at the prestigious University of Connecticut, where she received her Certificate of Advanced Study in Orthodontics. Additionally she studied the effects of cyclical forces on orthodontic tooth movement, culminating in a thesis that resulted in the receipt of her Masters in Dental Science degree. The American Board of Orthodontics credentials her as Board Eligible. Further, Dr. Blake is certified in Invisalign and is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.

In her spare time, Dr. Blake enjoys working out, biking, snowboarding and cooking. She currently lives nearby with her fiance and their two cats, Blackjack and Maximus.
